About the role

As a Software Engineer at Ripe, you’ll work alongside our tech team to build the foundation of Ripe’s platform. You’ll be working across the full tech stack from React components to the API layer to build 0 to 1 products. Joining now, you'll also help in building the company culture from the ground up.

What you will do

We are currently a team of seven! You’ll be the eighth 🎱 and also the fourth in a team of other full-stack engineers. You’ll help us build and roll out our initial product as we continue to expand the feature set:

• Architect and implement complex features from the ground up.
• Work closely with Product, UX/UI, and the Engineering team to build and execute our roadmap, code reviews, architecture reviews, brainstorms, etc.
• Implement best practices and contribute to the evolving team as we continue to grow. We take immense pride in the craft of our work. We don’t skimp on things like code review, developer tooling, documentation, testing, etc.

<aside> 🛠️ Our current tech stack is Fullstack TypeScript: React (Next.js+ Vercel),graphql, Apollo, Prisma, Node.jsand PostgreSQL, PubSub, at GCP App Engine.

Who you are

• You're an experienced full-stack dev (Node.js, TypeScript, React experience, but we also love if you’re tooling agnostic and could help us make new choices for the stack) and familiar with cloud services like GCP and AWS. You love to build rock-solid architectures but are also pragmatic and lean towards shipping.
• You're comfortable with ambiguity and a scenario where we have to ship a new feature in a week — how can we slice it down to something shippable?
• You value open dialogue and feedback culture.
• You are kind (yes, we value people who are kind and honest), and not too precious about processes for the sake of processes.
